Pure Brew is pleased to welcome you to it's beer and wine-making facilities!
Pure Brew opened its premises back in 1993 with the mandate of offering only quality beer and wine-making products for both the home brewer and the brewer who preferred making it on site. At the time on-premises brewing was still a concept in it's infancy. It soon became apparent that this novel idea was appealing to an ever-increasing clientele interested in a home-brewed product but not in the hassle associated with making it at home.From a tiny fermentation room of the humble beginnings it rapidly expanded to a processing room in itself as big as the kitchen and retail areas combined. The success is attributable to the fact that the original founder of the store, Bernard Laflamme, was a man of high ethics and integrity whose philosophy was to offer a product of consistently high quality and who ardently strived to have every person walk away satisfied and happy.
Unfortunately, Bernard passed away in 2006, leaving his spouse Francine with a legacy that she has done her utmost to uphold and respect.Francine has run the store for 5 years with the same success and in 2011 she decided to pass the helmet to the younger generation. She sold the Pure Brew facility to Ayhan, a winemaker from Europe who had recently moved to Canada with his family. After taking the sommelier course at Algonquin College in Ottawa hei is now a certified sommelier as well.Ayhan is planning to keep the good traditions inherited from Francine and Bernard and introduce new technologies but most importantly continue satisfying Pure Brew's loyal clientele.
